Privacy Policy

Our Family Grid is a private home base for your family. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

Information we collect

Account information: your name, email address, and password when you sign up.
Family content you create: projects, tasks, due dates, family member names and roles, photos and videos you upload to projects, and documents you store (such as passports, birth certificates, and other records).
Google Calendar data: with your explicit permission, we access your Google Calendar to create, update, and delete events for tasks assigned to you, and to read basic calendar information (such as your calendar name and timezone) so we can place tasks correctly.

We request the calendar.readonly and calendar.events scopes solely to provide the task-to-calendar sync feature: creating task reminder events on your primary calendar, updating them when a task changes, and deleting them when a task is removed.
We do not read the content of your other calendar events, do not use Google data for advertising, and do not sell or share Google user data with third parties. Access is limited to what you authorize and can be revoked at any time in the app (Settings → Calendar) or at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Your data is used only to operate the service: showing your family board, syncing tasks to connected calendars, and storing your media and documents.
Data is stored on Lovable Cloud's managed database and private storage. Uploaded media and documents are private and served back to you via short-lived signed links.
Google OAuth credentials are stored encrypted and are never exposed to your browser.

Content you create is visible to members of your own family board. Personal documents stored under your member profile are visible only to you.
We do not sell your information. We share data only with the infrastructure providers needed to run the service (hosting, database, storage, and Google APIs you connect).

You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from Settings.
You can delete projects, tasks, media, and documents from within the app. Deleting a task also deletes its calendar event.
To delete your account and all associated data, remove yourself from the family in Settings and contact us at support@ourfamgrid.com.

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest, row-level access controls on the database, and private storage buckets. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your family's information.

Our Family Grid is designed for parents managing their family's information. Accounts are created by a parent or guardian, who may add children as family members.
